Box Score It seemed only appropriate. On a night when Hamline's men's hockey teams honored its seniors, two of them -- Chad Hennum and Russ Jordan -- provided the offensive spark. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough in a 4-2 loss to St. Mary's at TRIA Rink Friday night.

With the Pipers trailing 2-0 in the second period, Hennum took a pass from Tommy Hall, streaked up the right side and buried a shot in the far corner of the net for his third goal of the season. 

Thanks to the some superb goaltending by Evan Robert (17 second period saves, 30 for the game), it stayed that way until the Cardinals scored twice in the third period. Robert was pulled late in the game for a sixth attacker and Jordan took advantage with a shot through traffic for his 12th tally of the season. Despite more pressure, that was all HU could muster. As a result, the Pipers are now 8-12-2 overall and 3-8-2 in MIAC games.

The teams will face off again Saturday, February 10 in Winona. game time is 7:00 p.m.
