Reilly Geistfeld continued her scoring ways with 17 points and
Kaeli Stayer chipped in a dozen for the HU women's basketball team in a 66-46 loss at Augsburg Wednesday night. The league's leading scorer matched her season average for the Pipers, who dropped to 9-7 overall, 4-5 at the halfway point of the conference schedule.
Gabby Robinson had a team high six rebounds and four assists for Hamline, which led 11-10 with 3:27 left in the first quarter. Augsburg, however, erupted for a 12-0 run and a 22-14 advantage by the end of the session.
Chan'el Anderson-Manning snapped off four steals and
Heather Moore contributed three as part of a 13-steal attack. Augsburg, however, clicked on 11 three-pointers to improve to 13-3 overall, 8-1 in the MIAC.
Hamline is deadlocked with Concordia and St. Catherine a mere game out of the final playoff spot. The Pipers face one of the three teams one game ahead of them -- Bethel -- Saturday, January 19 in Arden Hills. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
