Hamline's lacrosse team put Augsburg on their heels early and never let off the pedal to record a 12-5 victory Thursday night in Minneapolis.
Radian Lenz (pictured) scored four goals and Alycia Monserrate Novotny and
Lexus Tatge added two each as the Pipers improved to 5-0 overall, 4-0 in MWLC play.
Hamline scored the first five goals of the game ands extended their lead to 8-1 at halftime. Lenz, a junior forward, recorded three goals in that session. The Pipers pushed the margin to 12-2 before the homestanding Auggies responded with the last three tallies of the game. HU outshot the Auggies, 39-19, for the game.
Molly Dionne had nine saves in goal to earn the win.
Hamline plays their first Klas Field games of the season this weekend against Cornell (March 30, 3:00 p.m.) and Carroll (March 31, 12:00 p.m.) this weekend.
