ST. PAUL, Minn. - Hamline University Associate Vice President and Athletic Director
Jason Verdugo is set to appear on an Inclusion and Social Justice panel on Tuesday, October 27 as part of a series presented by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) in partnership with the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).
Â
The panel is part of two larger town hall events for student-athletes, coaches, and administrators to discuss social and racial justice on college campuses. The morning session is tailored towards coaches and staff, and the evening session is geared more for student-athletes.
Â
Verdugo will be on the panel for the morning session, joining Chris Dixon (Director of Athletic Diversity & Inclusion at Augsburg University), Erika Moyer (Head Strength & Conditioning Coach and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Representative at Hood College), and Kelsey Koelzer (Head Women's Ice Hockey Coach at Arcadia University). The panel will be moderated by Niya Blair-Hackworth, Director of Inclusion at the NCAA.
Â
The town hall events will provide student-athletes, coaches, and administrators the chance to engage in inclusion and social justice topics with the panelists and talk more about what is happening on campus, as well as at the conference level.
