ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Hamline women's basketball team's (14-6, 9-6 MIAC) offense came up short on Saturday afternoon as they fell to St. Catherine (11-10, 8-8 MIAC) 62-40 at Hutton Arena.

Reilly Geistfeld had the most points for HU, scoring seven in the first quarter and nine overall, while also compiling five rebounds, four steals, and an assist. Sophomore
Chan'el Anderson-Manning had six points and a game-high six steals and senior
Kaeli Stayer ended with five points.

The Pipers shot well in the first and third quarters, recording 44.4% and 53.8% field goal percentages in these frames, respectively, but shot 10.0% in the second quarter and 20.0% in the fourth. Overall the team was held to a 33.3% field goal percentage, connecting on only 14.3% of their threes, while the Wildcats shot 47.8% from the floor.

After the first quarter, St. Catherine led 18-12. The Pipers'
Morgen Coleman scored first in the second quarter to cut the lead to four, but from here, the Wildcats went on a 14-1 run to close out the half, allowing them to take a 32-15 lead into the intermission.

St. Catherine used their first half momentum to score the first two field goals in the third quarter, pushing their lead to 21. Hamline pushed back, however, getting the game back within 13 with three minutes left in the quarter, but the Wildcats scored the last five points of the frame to once again give themselves some breathing room.

The Wildcats scored the first two points of the fourth quarter and would hold onto a 20-point lead for the rest of the game.
