MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - In their final games scheduled at U.S. Bank Stadium, the Hamline baseball team (3-6) split with regional opponent Lawrence (1-1), winning the first game 10-2, but falling in game two 4-3. The Pipers won't play again until their spring break trip, when they will play seven games in Tucson, Arizona starting on March 19.

GAME 1: HAMLINE 10, LAWRENCE 2
The Pipers wasted no time getting on the board in game one, unloading for six runs in the top of the first inning. HU took advantage of five walks in the inning, as well as recording two hits to help them on their way to a 10-2 win.

Senior
Jake Dujmovic started the inning with a walk and then senior
Tyler Brick doubled with a shot that was close to clearing the right field fence to put runners on second and third. Dujmovic would score on a wild pitch and the Pipers would load the bases as both junior
Zack Langton and senior
Eric Erb walked. Senior
Devin Rodgers drove in a run with a walk and then senior
Colton Peters came up with a clutch single to right field that drove in two more. Rodgers scored the final run of the inning on a double steal play, putting HU up 6-0.

 The Vikings would get one of those runs back in the bottom of the inning with a pair of singles and sacrifice fly.

Peters drove in another run in the third, this time getting a two-out double to score Langton from second, to give Hamline a 7-1 lead. In the fifth, Lawrence would score, getting an unearned run across on a single to left center.

The Pipers added three more runs in the seventh as Cole scored on a Viking error and Dujmovic drove in two runs on a double to deep left center. Senior
Nolan Hartmann took care of the rest, completing his 3.0 innings in relief allowing one run on four hits.

First year
Mac Enlow earned the win to improve to 1-1 on the season. He pitched the first four innings, giving up just one run on four hits while striking out two.

GAME 2: LAWRENCE 4, HAMLINE 3
Once again, the Pipers jumped on scoreboard in the first inning, getting two runs across. Junior
Cullen Buck started the inning with a leadoff hit, stole his way around the bases, and scored when Enlow doubled to right center. Enlow would later score on a sacrifice fly from sophomore
Avery Nelson.

Lawrence scored one in the second and one in the third to tie up the game at two apiece. In the second, their run scored on a passed ball and in the third they got a run across on a groundout to the shortstop. Both runs were unearned.

The Pipers would regain their lead in the bottom of the third, as Dujmovic doubled to right center and scored on a single from Enlow on the next at-bat.

The score would remain 3-2 in favor of HU until the sixth when the Vikings took over the lead with a pair of runs, stringing together four hits to put themselves ahead 4-3.

HU would get a runner on in the bottom of the sixth, but were unable to get them across and were shutout in the seventh, leaving the final 4-3.

Dujmovic pitched the first six innings for Hamline, giving up four runs (only two earned) on four hits while striking out five batters. Junior
Taylor Just pitched the final inning, retiring the Vikings in order.
