SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's hockey team hosted St. Scholastica in the back-end of a home-and-home weekend series at TRIA Rink on Saturday. The Pipers came back from a 1-0 deficit and secured a 3-1 victory over St. Scholastica behind Emme Nelson's hat trick.
The Pipers improve to 6-3, 5-1 MIAC, while St. Scholastica falls to 5-4-1, 3-2-1 MIAC.

St. Scholastica set the tone quick as Ashley Healy's goal at 4:46 of the first made the score 1-0. Emme Nelson's goals occurred at 15:20 of the first period, 16:26 of the first period, and 19:27 of the second to give the Pipers a 3-1 lead heading into the third period, where no scoring took place. Rae Robert, Morgan Wohlers, and Sophie Rausch were each credited with assists on Nelson's goals.
The Pipers outshot St. Scholastica 33-29.
Hamline goalie McKenna Hulslander tallied 28 saves in the complete-game win, while Ashlea Arvidson stopped 30 shots in net for St. Scholastica.
The Pipers conclude the 2021 portion of their schedule at TRIA Rink on Tuesday, December 7 against No 2 UW-Eau Claire at 7:00 p.m.
