Â
Concordia was held to more modest shooting percentages, making 36.8% of their shots from the field and only 20.0% from beyond the arc. They did outscore Hamline in points off of turnovers, forcing 16 turnovers during the game, which they converted into 16 points.

Â
In the second, the Pipers took control of the game, as they used an 11-0 run to put themselves up by 12 at 34-22 with only 1:30 left in the quarter. Concordia would score five of the last eight points, which put Hamline ahead 37-27 at halftime.
Â
The Pipers continued their strong defensive play in the third quarter, again only allowing nine points throughout the frame. HU scored 13 and would take a 14-point edge (50-36) into the final 10 minutes.
Â
The Cobbers scored the first four points of the final quarter, cutting Hamline's lead to 10, but the Pipers answered with a 14-2 run to stretch their lead to 22 with four minutes to play. From there, they were able to withstand a late run from Concordia, holding on to a 69-57 victory.
