The Pipers outhit the Yellowjackets 22-10 in the doubleheader, while also taking advantage of 11 walks and getting hit by nine pitches.
HU had 10 different players record at least one hit with sophomore

GAME 1: HAMLINE 5, UW-SUPERIOR 4 (8 INNINGS)
In game one, the Pipers saw the Yellowjackets come from behind to tie the game up at four runs, but would come out victorious in the eighth inning
The Pipers got on the board right away in the top of the first as junior
Cullen Buck singled on the first pitch and got himself all the way around the bases to score. He advanced to second on a failed pickoff, stole third, and would score on a wild pitch. Both
Mac Enlow and Sandbo also reached base in the inning, but the Pipers weren't able to score again, leading 1-0 after the first inning.
Hamline started the second inning with another leadoff hit, this time it was a double from first year
Colin Schuetz. He would eventually score on a sacrifice fly from senior Peters, making it 2-0.
Buck would score again in the third inning after being hit by a pitch and then scoring on a sacrifice bunt from
Avery Liebren. In the fourth, HU tacked on another run when Schuetz hit a solo homer to make it 4-0.
A two-run homer for the Yellowjackets in the bottom of the fourth would cut HU's lead in half, and UW-Superior would tie it up the following inning with two more runs, using three singles and walk to make it 4-4.
It would remain tied at four through the seventh inning, sending it to extras. In the eighth, Schmidt started the inning with a base hit. Senior
Zack Langton then came up with a clutch double, scoring Schmidt from first. This would be all the Pipers would need, as sophomore
Zach Branson came in for the final inning, retiring the Yellowjackets 1-2-3 to secure the win and earn a save.
Junior
Ryan Conn started on the mound for Hamline, pitching the first three innings. He gave up no runs on two hits while striking out two in his first outing of the year. Junior
Will Tzavaras came in next giving up four runs (three earned) on two hits and two walks. First year

Elijah Erickson pitched the final 0.1 inning of the seventh. Erickson would pick up the win, improving to 1-2 on the year.
GAME 2: HAMLINE 19, UW-SUPERIOR 2
In game two, the Pipers recorded the most hits of any game so far this season and the 19 runs scored is the most by HU baseball since March 6, 2016 when Hamline defeated Wesleyan 29-14 in Tucson, Arizona.
Sandbo and Schmidt each had three hits in the game, with Buck and first year
Tyler Johnson adding two each as well. Sando and Peters drove in the most runs, with four each.
Despite having two baserunners on in the first, the Pipers wouldn't score until the second when Peters hit his first home run of the season, a two-run shot to right center to give HU a 2-0 lead.
The Pipers busted the game open in the third inning, scoring 10 runs to take a commanding 12-0 lead. Schuetz started the rally with a single and first year
Braeden Bourne and Langton each got on by being hit by a pitch to load the bases. Sandbo then hit a bases-clearing double to drive in three runs. Johnson, Schmidt, and Buck then hit back-to-back-to-back singles to once again load the bases. Two walks and two hit-by-pitches with the bases loaded drove in four additional runs. On his second at-bat of the inning, Sandbo once again came up with a hit to score a run, a single to centerfield this time, and a fielder's choice would score the final run of the inning.
Hamline would get two more runs in the fourth inning, when Buck homered to right and would add another in the fifth on a Johnson home run, the first of his Hamline career.
The Yellowjackets got their two runs in the fifth inning, hitting a two-run home run to center.
The Pipers would add four more runs in the sixth, on three hits, a walk, and a hit-by-pitch and would hold UW-Superior in the final two innings, making the final 19-2.
It was first year
Spencer Klika who started on the mound for HU, pitching the first three innings, giving up no runs while striking out four. First year

First year
