GREENSBORO, N.C. - Senior track and field thrower Joe Martin earned his second career All-America honor this afternoon after taking eighth in the shot put at the NCAA Championships.
 
Martin capped off his stellar senior season with a distance of 16.42 meters, putting him in the top eight, which was good for All-American status. Martin ranks third on the Hamline all-time list in the event with a mark of 17.20 meters, which he hit earlier this season.
