DULUTH, MINN.—The Hamline University women's basketball team made the 150-mile trek north to first-year MIAC member St. Scholastica on Wednesday night. The Pipers upped their win streak to seven with a 68-59 victory over the Saints.
The Pipers improve to 8-2, 6-1 MIAC, while St. Scholastica stays winless at 0-9, 0-7 MIAC. Hamline also achieved a seven-game win streak during the 2019-20 campaign.

The Pipers protected the ball efficiently as they committed a season-low nine turnovers, while St. Scholastica nearly doubled that figure with 17. Sophie Findell, who gave the Pipers the lead for good at 18-17 off a layup with 9:11 left in the second quarter, registered a team-leading 11 points and three steals along with five boards and two assists.
Good things came in nines for the Pipers, as Lydia Lecher, Alyssa Williamson, and Larisa O'Neil each tallied nine points. Tess Hauer added nine rebounds along with eight points, while Iyanna Wieland tallied eight points and eight rebounds for Hamline.
Miranda Broberg notched 17 points and eight rebounds for the Saints.
The Pipers will travel to Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday, January 8 for a 1 p.m. game time.
