DULUTH, MINN.—Good things came in "13's" for the Hamline University women's basketball team in their Tuesday-night bout at St. Scholastica. Lydia Lecher registered a team-best 13 points, while 13 total Pipers found the score column in their 75-45 thrashing of the Saints.
Hamline improves to 4-0, 2-0 MIAC, while St. Scholastica falls to 0-4, 0-2 MIAC. It is believed to be the Pipers' first 4-0 start in program history.
Hamline 75, St. Scholastica 45
The Pipers led from start-to-finish in a game that saw them hold the Saints to a dismal 12-of-54 (.222) shooting mark, which included a 5-for-20 percentage from downtown. Hamline mustered a 30-of-65 (.462) figure from the field, led by Lecher's 13 points. Iyanna Wieland notched a team-leading 10 rebounds along with seven points, while Larisa O'Neil nailed a trio of three-point baskets for a nine-point game.
The Saints were led by Lexi Imdieke's 13 points.
Hamline will travel to Bethel on Wednesday, November 30 for a 7 p.m. game.
