ST. BONIFACIUS, MINN.—The Hamline University women's basketball team's final game of 2022 pitted them at Crown for a non-conference bout on Saturday afternoon. The Pipers led from start-to-finish in a 79-55 thrashing of the Polars.
Hamline improves to 8-1, while Crown falls to 4-6.

Fifteen Pipers saw playing time, highlighted by 14 points a piece from reigning MIAC Defensive Player of the Week Chan'el Anderson-Manning and Camille Cummings, as well as 38 points from the bench. Anderson-Manning kept up her defensive prowess with a season-high six steals and one block, which engineered a Piper squad that forced a season-high 25 turnovers. Hamline converted 28 points off turnovers in the contest.
Lydia Lecher chipped in 13 points, while Michaela Stamer rounded out the Pipers in double figures with 11 points.
Hamline shot 29-of-66 (.439) from the field, which included an impressive 10-of-14 (.714) clip in the third quarter.
Madi Hecox led Crown with a game-high 18 points.
Hamline will host Saint Mary's (Minn.) at Hutton Arena on Wednesday, January 4 at 7 p.m.
