SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The No. 2 seed Hamline University women's hockey team hosted No. 7 seed Bethel in a MIAC Tournament Quarterfinal match-up at TRIA Rink on Saturday. The Pipers started fast, and never let their foot off the gas pedal in an 8-0 shutout over the Royals.
Hamline, who improves to 14-9 overall, will advance to the MIAC Semifinal against No. 3 seed Saint Mary's at TRIA Rink on Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. Bethel ends their season with an 8-11-2 overall record.

The Pipers had the slim upper hand in shots at 26-25, but goalie McKenna Hulslander was there to stop all 25 of them for the shutout victory. Sophie Rausch and Molly Garin each tallied two-goal games for Hamline. The game's first two goals belonged to Rausch, who finished the contest with two assists as well. Garin added an assist to her stat line for a three-point game.
Jordan Hansen, Nikki Olund, Elizabeth Valley, and Haley Eder-Zdechlik also contributed goals for the Pipers, who finished the game 1-for-3 on the power play.
Royals goalie Mallory Tidona made 18 saves.
