SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's soccer team hosted WIAC foe UW-Stevens Point in a Wednesday-afternoon tilt at Pat Paterson Field. The Pipers battled to a 0-0 tie for the second-consecutive game against the Pointers.
Hamline moves to 1-0-2, while UW-Stevens Point's first tie of the season sends their record to 0-2-1.

The Pipers held a slim 19-18 advantage in shots, led by Carin Currier's team-high five. Katie Frierdich commanded UW-Stevens Point with a game-high six shots.
Each team were victims of a yellow card.
Lauren Sicora and Ava Braun each tallied three saves over 45:00 of play in net for the Pipers, while Miranda Nieman came through with six stops in a complete-game effort between the pipes for UW-Stevens Point.
Next for the Pipers is a neutral-site game against Whitman in Highlands Ranch, Colorado on Friday, September 9 at 4 p.m. (MT).
