NORTHFIELD, MINN.—The Hamline University swimming & diving teams traveled to St. Olaf for a Saturday-afternoon dual.

Courtney Broyles came through with a first-place score of 228.50 in the 1-meter dive for the women. Tina Liu posted a season-best performance in the 500-yard freestyle with a second-place time of 5:53.48. A stellar outing was had by Sarah Wood, who converted a time of 1:12.95 in the 100-yard breaststroke en route to second place. The 200-yard IM saw Sila Yurttas register second place with a 2:22.67.
The men were led by Anthony Van Sambeek's second-place mark of 51.81 in the 100-yard freestyle, a season best. He also posted a time of 23.95 in the 50-yard freestyle, good enough for third place. George Hubbard notched a solid day with a first-place time of 5:01.19 in the 500-yard freestyle, and a second-place mark of 1:48.93 in the 200-yard freestyle. Kevin Bossou posted a 206.65 as the lone points scorer in the 1-meter dive.
The Pipers will participate in the Saint John's Sprint Invite on Saturday, January 14 at 1 p.m.
