SAINT PAUL, MINN.--The Hamline University women's soccer team fell to Saint Mary's (Minn.) 2-0 in a conference match held at Pat Paterson Field on Saturday. This match marked the 2024 season finale for the Pipers and the final collegiate game for fifth-year

The Pipers finished the 2024 season with a 5-10-5, 1-7-3 MIAC record, while the Cardinals enter the MIAC Tournament with an 11-2-4, 8-1-2 MIAC record.
Saint Mary's 2, Hamline 0
In the first half, Saint Mary's took the lead with a goal by Lauryn Skoruppa in the 24th minute, assisted by Samantha Munson, making the score 1-0. Hamline's offense was limited, with only one shot on goal by
Adela Ashby, which was saved by Saint Mary's goalkeeper Anna Peckosh. The half also saw multiple fouls, with the Pipers committing two while Saint Mary's had three.
In the second half, Saint Mary's extended their lead to 2-0 with a goal by Samantha Munson in the 51st minute, assisted by Lauryn Skoruppa. The Pipers struggled to find the back of the net despite shots by
Sydni Thompson and
Addyson Barrett. The half saw multiple fouls, with
Ellie Nhean committing two for Hamline and Kristen LaDue for Saint Mary's. Additionally, the Pipers received a yellow card in the 86th minute as
Graycie Griffiths was penalized.
Hamline featured several standout players based on their statistical contributions. Goalkeeper
Isabella Jensen played a full 90 minutes, recording two saves from seven shots faced. On the offensive side,
Addyson Barrett made an impact with one shot on goal. Defensively,
Adela Ashby also registered a shot on goal.
Samantha Munson and Lauryn Skoruppa are standout players for the Saint Mary's soccer team. Munson recorded one goal and one assist, and contributed a total of three points. Skoruppa also had one goal and one assist, with her goal being a game-winner. Anna Peckosh made one save in net for the Cardinals, who out shot the Pipers 7-3.
