DULUTH, MINN.--The Hamline University women's volleyball team fell to St. Scholastica in a four-set match, losing 3-1 (25-20, 25-19, 20-25, 25-20)Â on Friday at Reif Gymnasium in Duluth, Minn. This match marked the 2024 season finale, and the final collegiate match for seniors

The Pipers end 2024 with a 9-19, 2-9 MIAC record, while the Saints conclude their season with a 13-16, 3-8 MIAC mark.
St. Scholastica 3, Hamline 1Â (25-20, 25-19, 20-25, 25-20)
St. Scholastica emerged victorious with a 25-20 score in the opening frame. Katlyn Jones was a standout for the Saints, contributing multiple kills, including the decisive final point. Hamline's
Lindsay Eckelman also performed well, securing several kills, but was unable to turn the tide as the Saints capitalized on the Pipers attack errors in the latter stages to clinch the set.
In the second set, the Saints secured a 25-19 victory over the Pipers. St. Scholastica capitalized on several attack errors from Hamline, contributing to their lead. Grace Myhre was instrumental for St. Scholastica, assisting on multiple kills, while Lindsey Baribeau and Katlyn Jones each delivered key kills to maintain the momentum. The Pipers struggled with service and setting errors, allowing the Saints to maintain control throughout the set.

Grace Myhre was instrumental, providing numerous assists throughout the set. Hamline struggled with a series of service errors and attack errors, which ultimately gave St. Scholastica the edge needed to close the set.

Katlyn Jones also made an impact with 11 kills, two service aces, and a solid defensive presence with eight digs, accumulating a total of 13.5 points. Mikala Peterson was another strong contributor, tallying 10 kills and a hitting percentage of .333, resulting in 10 points for the team.
