SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's swim & dive team hosted the Piper Red Invite at Bush Center Pool on Saturday afternoon. Macalester also participated in the event.
Kevin Bossou prevailed with first-place marks of 236.05 in the 3-meter dive, and 241.20 in the 1-meter dive. The 200-yard medley relay team of Bossou, Gus Shaffer, Tristan Popa, and Evan Poeschel took first place with a 1:55.93. Second place was in the cards for Shaffer in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.87), and 200-yard IM (2:15.64).
Popa registered a 2:32.09 as the lone participant in the 200-yard butterfly. Poeschel was the only competitor in the 50-yard freestyle, where he notched a 28.64. Shaffer registered a 2:10.98 in the 200-yard backstroke, where he was the lone participant.
The Pipers divers will compete at the Carleton Dodd Road Diving Invite on Saturday, February 8 before they embark on the MIAC Championship on February 19-22 at the University of Minnesota.
