TUCSON, ARIZ.--On Friday, the Hamline University baseball team fell to Wesleyan (Conn.) by a score of 14-6 in a non-conference baseball game at the Kino Complex in Tucson, Arizona.
The Pipers fall to 5-11, while the Cardinals imrpove to 5-7.

Hamline opened the game strong with a two-run first inning.
Ryan Burley and
Tyler Johnson reached base, and
Finn Melchior delivered a crucial single to right center, driving in both runners to tie the score at 2-2.
In the third inning, the Pipers added another run to their tally.
Caden Erickson walked and then stole second, setting the stage for
Finn Melchior, who continued his productive day with a double to right center, allowing Erickson to score, bringing the score to 4-3 in favor of the Cardinals.
After a quiet stretch, Hamline mounted a late rally in the ninth inning.

Despite their efforts, the Pipers fell short with a final score of 14-6, as the Cardinals' seven-run fifth inning and three-run ninth proved decisive.
