Pipers Make History With First Ever WIAC Victory in 2025 Home Opener

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—History was made on behalf of the Hamline University women's lacrosse team, who registered their first-ever WIAC victory with a 13-6 trouncing of UW-Stout at Klas Field on Sunday afternoon.

The Pipers improve to 4-6, 2-2 WIAC, while the Blue Devils fall to 6-3, 1-3 WIAC.

Hamline 13, UW-Stout 6

Despite the fact Stout finished with a slight 28-26 edge in shots, the driver's seat belonged to Hamline from start-to-finish. This was much due to goalie Lola Brouwer's 17 saves and Courtney Parker, who made her 2025 debut with a vengeance that included a game-high four goals. Avery Wilson's six points consisted of four goals and two assists as well as six shots and two ground balls. The stat sheet was dominated by Lauren Moorhouse's six draw controls, two caused turnovers, two ground balls, two goals, and five shots for Hamline.

Emma Collins, who netted a goal, finished with a team-leading three assists along with Kayli Starkey. Rounding out the multi-point Pipers was Reagan Zywicki's one goal and one assist.

Emilia Bullock stopped six shots in net for the Blue Devils. Mai Nou Vang paced Stout with two goals, two assists, six shots, two ground balls, and eight draw controls.

The Pipers will travel to UW-Stevens Point on Friday, April 11 for a 6 p.m. game.
