Four Pipers Receive CSC Academic All-District Recognition

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Hamline University senior Sophie Stork (New Richland, Minn. / New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva), junior Marina LaFreniere (Blaine, Minn. / Blaine) and junior Anna Rynkiewich (St. Paul, Minn. / St. Paul Central) and sophomore Josie Schmidt (Belle Plaine, Minn. / Belle Plaine) have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, the organization announced Tuesday, Mar. 24. 

Stork played and started in 26 games this season, playing 639 minutes on the court. She scored 195 points, averaging 7.5 points per game. She had 97 total rebounds, 79 of them being defensive rebounds. He also had 25 assists and 27 steals. 

LaFreniere played in 23 games and started in 22 of them this season, playing 392 minutes on the court. She scored 114 points this season, averaging 5.0 points per game and her FG% being .516. She had 81 total rebounds, 22 assists, and 28 steals. 

Rynkiewich played in 26 games, starting in 7 of them for a total of 537 minutes on the court. She score 189 points, averaging 7.3 points per game. She had 137 total rebounds, 95 of them defensive rebounds. She also had 30 assists and 57 steals. 

Schmidt played in 26 games this season, playing a total 574 minutes on the court. She scored 162 points this season, averaging 6.2 points per game. She had a FG% of .512 and a free throw percentage of .633. She also had 74 rebounds, 63 assists, 13 blocks, and 72 steals. Schmidt also earned MIAC All-Conference honors this season. 

The Pipers finished their season 19-7 overall, 13-5 in conference play.
