MINNEAPOLIS — Hamline (10-15, 2-6 MIAC) faced off against Augsburg (3-9, 2-6 MIAC) in two games at Parade Stadium. In their first encounter, Hamline fell to Augsburg 3-1, but bounced back to secure a 7-3 victory in the second game.
GAME ONE
In the first game, Augsburg scored all three of its runs in the third inning, while the Pipers managed one run on four hits. Hamline initiated scoring in the second inning when
Jacob Barmore walked and advanced to third on a single by
Maddex Van Slooten, combined with a fielding error.
Grant Peltier brought Barmore home with a sacrifice fly, giving the Pipers a 1-0 lead after two innings.
Augsburg responded in the third inning with three runs. Ethan Hathaway doubled and was driven in by Stanley Regguinti's double. Jorda Sivoravong followed with another double, scoring Regguinti. Drew Jenkins added an RBI single, bringing home Sivoravong to put Augsburg ahead 3-1 after three innings. Despite the Pipers' efforts in subsequent innings, including a single by

Maddex Van Slooten score on a sacrifice fly by Burley, putting Hamline ahead 2-1. Augsburg responded with a run of its own, tying the score at 2-2 through two innings. In the fourth inning, Van Slooten reached third base and was brought home by

Hamline extended its lead in the sixth inning when

Augsburg answered back with an unearned run after Andruw Vela reached on an error and scored on a single by Drew Jenkins, making it 5-3 through eight innings. Owen Giesen added an unearned run on a series of defensive miscues, solidifying Hamline's lead at 7-3. The final score was Hamline 7, Augsburg 3.
