College: Jessica earned All-Conference Honorable Mention Honors in the shot put at the MIAC Championships Indoors and Outdoors in 2013. She threw a personal best of 41-5 ¾ in the shot put at the 2013 Hamline Women’s Twilight, threw a personal best in the hammer 155-1 at the 2013 Hamline Women’s Twilight, and was Hamline’s Most Improved Field Award winner in 2013.
High School: Jessica threw for Belleville High School, was a 3x All-Conference selection in the shot put and discus, a 2 year captain of track team and a 4 year letter winner.
Personal: Jessica is the daughter of Connie and Tim Putland. She is a double major in Religion and Social Justice with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. She is also involved in InterVarsity, Jazz Ensemble, and the Praise Band.
