Jacob Picht is in his third season as an assistant coach at Hamline University, joining the staff before the 2018 season.

Picht is a 2017 graduate of Hamline, earning a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science while minoring in Psychology. During his four-year stint with the Pipers, he was named to the All-Conference Defensive Team and ABCA All-Region second team in 2016, and the All-Conference team in 2017. He also set the school’s single season record for doubles and putouts during his junior season, and was only the third player in school history to reach 30 hits during the 20-game MIAC season.

Picht, an Oakdale, Minnesota native, was a career .371 hitter at HU. At the conclusion of his senior year, he was awarded Hamline’s Steve Lindgren award, which is given to the school’s most outstanding senior male athlete.  

He now works for Discover Strength as a personal trainer and strength coach. On top of his full-time job, Picht serves as the American Legion coach at East Ridge High School as well as an instructor at Players Only Inc.
