The 2017 season will be Jordan's fourth as the Pipers' hitting coach. He is well acquainted with the team -- and being successful.
Jordan came to the HU campus for the 2011 season after transferring from Des Moines CC. In his first season, the sophomore OF batted a solid .309 in 44 games and earned a place on the All-Conference team. The Pipers won a school record 29 games that season, including taking the MIAC postseason title and advancing to the NCAA D-III playoffs for the only time in school history.
Jordan also made the All-Conference units in 2012 and 2013. In the latter year, he also earned a place on the ABCA/Rawlings Midwest All-Region Team and was named winner of the Steve Lindgren Hamline Male Athlete of the Year award. In 115 career games for the Pipers, Jordan finished with a .341 batting average and a .471 on-base percentage.
In 2016, the Pipers led the MIAC in batting average with a .331 mark. Hamline returned to the conference playoffs for the first time since that 2011 team, winning one game and finishing the season with a 28-15 mark.
In addition to his HU heritage, Jordan, who received a degree in Business Administration, has served as an assistant coach with the Richfield American Legion team, head coach of the MN Mash U15 Fall select team and as a hitting instructor and video swing analyst for Next Level Training.
