Jordan Buck

Jordan Buck is in his 10th season as the Pipers’ hitting coach, joining the staff in 2014. He also serves as the team’s third base coach.

Buck came to Hamline for the 2011 season after transferring from Des Moines Area Community College. In his first season, the sophomore outfielder batted a solid .309 in 44 games and earned a place on the All-Conference team. The Pipers won a school record 29 games that season, including taking the MIAC postseason title and advancing to the NCAA D-III playoffs for the first time in school history. 

Buck also made the All-Conference units in 2012 and 2013. In the latter year, he earned a place on the ABCA/Rawlings Midwest All-Region Team and was named winner of the Steve Lindgren Hamline Male Athlete of the Year award. In 115 career games for the Pipers, Jordan finished with a .341 batting average and a .471 on-base percentage.

In 2016, the Pipers led the MIAC in batting average with a .331 mark and returned to the conference playoffs for the first time since that 2011 team, winning one game and finishing the season with a record of 28-15. 

In addition to his HU heritage, Buck has served as an assistant coach with the Richfield American Legion team, as a head coach of the MN Mash U15 Fall select team, and as a hitting instructor and video swing analyst for Next Level Training. 

Buck graduated with a degree in Business Administration and currently resides in Eagan with his wife, Connie.
