Hamline University Athletics

Brooke Torvik will embark on her second season as Hamline University assistant women's basketball coach in 2023-24.

The Rice, Minnesota native arrived to the Pipers fresh off a five-year playing career at St. Catherine, where she was a two-year captain. Torvik earned the 2019-20 Women's Basketball Most Improved Player, and Fleur Lis Awards at St. Kate's. She was a four-time member of the MIAC Academic All-Conference Team.

Brooke currently serves as head coach of the  Minnesota Metro Stars AAU Team, a post she's held since July 2021 after having spent three seasons with the program as assistant coach. 

Torvik obtained her bachelor of arts degree in biology from St. Catherine in 2021, and is currently working towards a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, also from St. Kate's.
