Jake Bobrowski

Jake Bobrowski enters his second season as Hamline University head women's hockey coach in 2026-27.

Bobrowski brings a wealth of experience across every level of the game, having coached in the high school, collegiate, and professional ranks. His coaching career began at Hill-Murray School, where he served as an assistant coach from 2007-15 and helped guide the Pioneers to back-to-back state championships in 2014 and 2015.

He joined Hamline University as an assistant coach from 2015-21, helping lead the Pipers to consecutive NCAA Frozen Four appearances and national runner-up and third-place finishes. Bobrowski then moved to the University of Minnesota for the 2021-22 season, serving as an assistant coach for the Golden Gophers as they captured the WCHA Championship and earned an NCAA Tournament berth.

In 2022-23, Bobrowski took over as head coach at Elmira College, where his team went undefeated in NCHA conference play. Most recently, he spent the 2023-24 season as an assistant coach with the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) champions, helping his squad capture the inaugural Walter Cup title.

In his first season leading the Pipers in 2025-26, Bobrowski guided Hamline to a 21-6-1 overall record and a 14-3-1 mark in MIAC play, helping the program earn an at-large berth to the NCAA Division III Women’s Hockey Tournament.

Under Bobrowski’s leadership, Hamline produced seven MIAC postseason honorees, including Nina Thorson, who was named MIAC Rookie of the Year and All-Conference. Hamline also earned national recognition during Bobrowski’s debut season, as Newpower was selected to the 2026 DIIIHockeyNews.com Women’s Third Team West, while Chamernick earned DIIIHockeyNews.com Women’s First Team West honors and was named a 2025-26 CCM/AHCA Women’s Division III All-American.

A Saint Paul native, Bobrowski has also served his community as a Sergeant and Investigator with the Saint Paul Police Department for more than two decades. He and his wife, Jennifer, are proud parents of eight children, including Sarah, a Hamline alumni and former All-American.
