Jake Bobrowski is also making the transition from coaching girls’ high school hockey to the MIAC. The St. Paul native, who has been part of the successful Hill-Murray program for the past seven seasons, will serve as the main assistant to head coach Natalie Darwitz for women’s hockey at Hamline in 2015-16.

At Harding High School, Bobrowski captained the football team and also played hockey and baseball. He went on to earn a degree in law enforcement from Century College, joining the St. Paul Police Department in 1999. Jake also has a BS in Law Enforcement from St. Mary’s and working towards his Masters in Criminal Justice Leadership at Concordia University.

Jake has been involved in hockey coaching for more than a decade. After four years coaching youth hockey in the New Richmond, WI area, he joined the Pioneer staff in 2008 as head JV coach and varsity assistant. His JV team won the conference championships every year he ran them.

The Pioneers have appeared in four MSHSL Class AA tournaments in the last five years. After finishing second in 2013, Hill-Murray has won the last two Class AA championships.

Jake has also coached ninth grade baseball at Hill-Murray and St. Paul Humboldt.
