Apple Valley High School: In addition to swimming, also participated in choir and math team … graduated in the top-10% of her class.
Career at Hamline
2022-23: Competed in the 800-yard freestyle relay (9:04.30), 500-yard freestyle prelims (6:14.78), 1650-yard freestyle (21:25.42), and 200-yard breaststroke prelims (3:00.80) at the MIAC Championship... MIAC Academic All-Conference.
2021-22: Competed in the MIAC championships in the 500 yd freestyle placing 33rd with a time of 6:20.12... Finished 24th in the 200 yd breaststroke with a time of 3:03.98... Named to the MIAC academic all-conference team.
2020-21: Named to the MIAC All-Academic Team … competed in all four meets of the shortened 2021 season … started the year at Gustavus on Feb. 6, taking ninth in the 100 Breaststroke (1:26.79) and sixth in the 200 Breaststroke (3:06.25) … compiled three of her best times of the season in the final meet at the U of M on March 6-7, finishing the 200 Breaststroke in 2:51.66, the 100 Breaststroke in 1:18.26, and the 50 Freestyle in 30.14.
2019-20: Participated in 10 meets for the Pipers in her first season … recorded two season-best times at the MIAC Championships in February, finishing the 50 Freestyle in 29.60 and the 100 Breaststroke in 1:18.03 … finished the 200 Breaststroke in 2:49.46 (a season best) at the Minnesota Challenge on Feb. 1 … added another season best at the Minnesota Challenge, finishing the 100 Freestyle in 1:05.00 as part of a relay.
Personal: Daughter of Carleen and Greg Needham... Born on October 18, 2000... Environmental studies major.
