Biography
DSST: Cole High School: Lettered four years in swimming … earned High Honors every year … also participated in National Honor Society (NHS) and Yearbook.
Career at Hamline
2022-23: Competed in the 50-yard freestyle prelims (27.96), 100-yard backstroke prelims (1:07.50), 200-yard freestyle relay (1:46.19), 200-yard backstroke prelims (2:27.57), and the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:54.76) at the MIAC Championship.
2021-22: Competed in the MIAC championships in the 200 yd medley relay finishing seventh with a time of 1:56.01... Swam in the 50 yd freestyle taking 43rd with a time of 28.32... Swam in the 200 yd relay taking ninth with a time of 1:46.93... Swam in the 200 yd backstroke taking 25th with a time of 2:31.61.
2020-21: Competed in all four meets of the shortened 2021 season … started the year with a 10th-place finish in the 100 Backstroke (1:13.44) at Gustavus on Feb. 6 … competed in the 100 IM against St. Thomas on Feb. 19, placing second with a time of 1:15.73 … compiled some of her best times of the year in the season finale at the U of M on March 6-7, taking 16th in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:10.46 and seventh in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:30.95.
2019-20: Participated in all 11 meets for the Pipers during her first season … put up three personal bests at the MIAC Championships, finishing the 50 Freestyle in 27.85, the 100 Backstroke in 1:07.22, and the 200 Backstroke in 2:28.97 … recorded her fastest 50 Backstroke time (31.26) at the Roger Ahlman Invitational on Dec. 7 as part of a relay.
Outside athletics: Participates in the HU Honors Program …Daughter of Brenda Bayless... Born on July 9, 2001... Applied physics major with an emphasis in engineering.
