Bob Davies was named Head Football Coach at Hamline University in December 2025. He brings extensive experience across all levels of collegiate football and a proven track record of building dynamic, high-performing offenses.
Davies has coached at the Division I, II, and III levels, serving as an offensive coordinator at each stop. He became one of the youngest offensive coordinators in Division I history during his time at Marist College. Known for producing immediate offensive improvement, he helped Carleton College break 23 school records and guided the program to its first winning season in 13 years. His three seasons there marked the winningest stretch in school history and included the development of the program’s all-time leading passer.
Davies has also been part of record-setting staffs at the highest level, including a Princeton team that set the Ivy League’s all-time passing record. Most recently at Gustavus Adolphus College, his offense increased scoring by more than a touchdown per game and produced an all-conference quarterback despite the quarterback starting only the final seven games of the season. He has played a key role in recruiting at both Carleton and Gustavus, securing commitments from local and national prospects.
A native of Jackson, New Jersey, Davies earned his bachelor’s degree from Monmouth University in 2017, where he was a quarterback. He resides in Minneapolis with his wife, Stella.
