George Allen, a successful football coach in the Natuional Football League, was fond of saying, "The future is now." The same adage could be applied to HU sprinter Dylan Olson.

The Belle Plaine, Minn. native is only a freshman but he has quickly developed into one of the top sprinters in the MIAC in a very short period.

For example, in what could be charitably called fopu weather at Macalester on April 28, Olson zipped past the field in the 110 Hurdles in
15.37 seconds. That won the race by .16 seconds. Olson has run even faster than that. His 14.97 clocking the week before at the Holst Invitational at Concordia is the best recorded time in this event by a MIAC runner this spring.

That makes Dylan, who also runs the 400 Hurdles, one of the folks to watch when the Pipers compete at the MIAC Outdoor Track/Field meet May 13-14 at Collegeville, Minn. Before that, however, HU will compete at home this weekend in the annual Meet of the UnSaintly at Klas Field.
