Hamline University Athletics

When you attend a Hamline lacrosse game, it's not hard to find junior Dana Almquist. She is the one who always seems to be around the net.  The Hugo, Minn. native was particularly noticeable last Saturday when she tied Maddie Brown's school record  for goals in a game with eight in the Pipers' 16-3 win over Benedictine. 

Dana added one on Sunday in the 10-7 win over Aurora that kept Hamline's perfect record at Klas Field intact. The Pipers are 10-0 all-time in games on their home turf. 

Her season total of 31 is tied for second in the MWLC in overall games. Her 21 markers in league contests is top among all attackers. 

Almquist led HU in goals last year with 55. She is on pace to best that number this season. In their first year in the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference, HU is in fourth place with a 4-1 league mark and stands 6-2 overall. They remain home this weekend to face Wartburg on April 1 (7:30 p.m.) and Loras on April 2 (12:00 p.m.).
