The MIAC Track and Field Championships at Klas Field are still a couple of weeks away. Hamline sophomore trackster Gabrielle Brown is making it very clear she intends to make it a happy homecoming.
The St. Paul, Minn. native blitzed the field in the 100 Hurdles last Friday in LaCrosse, Wis., winning the race in the fastest time noted this season by any MIACer running in this event: 14.94 seconds. She was also the second fastest MIAC competitor in the 400 Hurdles, trailing only teammate Jordan Walls with a time of 1:13.83.
Brown is one of many speedsters on the HU women's track/field team. (HU has six runners in the Top 30 times in the 100 Meters and five each in the 100 and 400 Hurdle fields.) Brown and her teammates will continue to prep for the MIAC this Saturday at Macalester.
