Annie Juergens helped make Hamline women's hockey history last weekend. The sophomore goalie stopped all 41 shots she faced as the Pipers defeated St. Catherine, 3-0 and 4-0, to move into a tie first place in the MIAC with a 5-1 league mark. It marked the first im the history of the program that Hamline had blanked an opponent both games of a weekend series.

The Lino Lakes, Minn. native was particularly sharp in the first game of the series. Hamline took seven penalties in the final two periods of that game but Juergens batted away all 12 shots sent her way in those situations.

For the season, Annie's goals-against average has dropped to a microscopic 0.90, the best in the MIAC and one of the best figures in the country.

Juergens and her teammates have a pair of non-conference games this week to wrap up the 2017 portion of the schedule. HU has a rematch with Wis-Eau Claire on Tuesday, December 5 at Oscar Johnson Arena (7:15 p.m.) HU, 6-2 overall, lost the season opener, 3-0, at Eau Claire. On Friday, December 8, the Pipers travel to Duluth to face St. Scholastica in a 4:00 p.m. game.
