The raw weather apparently hasn't affected Jessie Juenemann's ability to throw the Discus. The sophomore reached back and let loose with a 143-05 throw last Wednesday at the HU Twilight Invite meet held at Klas Field. The throw won the event by a remarkable 26 feet. It is easily (by 10 feet!) the best throw in this event this spring by any MIACer. The Two Harbors, Minn. native currently ranks 11th in the country. If the decisions were today, Jessie would be in the field for the NCAA D-III Outdoor TF meet. 

Juenemann was busy last Wednesday. She took second in the Shot Put with a 33-10.25 effort. She has the best throw of any MIACer this spring, having gone 36-8.25 in Arizona last month. 

Juenemann and her teammates are awaiting Mother Nature's pleasure for their next step in prepping for the MIAC Outdoor Track/Field meet that will be held at Carleton May 11-12. HU will be competing in meets at Wis-La Crosse and Concordia (Moorhead) this weekend.
