Joshua Thomsen shattered the men's indoor track & field 60 meter hurdle school record in his first collegiate meet with a time of 8.50 in the final heat at the MSU-Mankato Chuck Petersen Open on December 4. This occurred after he tied Eric Hanson's (2013) school record of 8.50 in the preliminaries.
