Hamline's men's basketball team looks to rebound on the winning track on Monday, December 3 when they welcome St. Mary's to Hutton Arena. It's the continuation of a busy start to the league slate that sees HU plays 25 per cent of its schedule -- four games -- in an eight day period. Hamline (3-2 overall, 1-1 MIAC) plays at Augsburg Wednesday, December 5.
Both games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tipoffs.
HU played league co-leader St. Thomas toe-to-toe for the first 23 minutes of last Saturday's game, holding the visitors to a 33-all tie. UST then ran off 15 points in a row to go on to a 80-59 win that was, in all reality, a much better game that the final score indicated. Tyler Pannell led the Piper offense with 14 points, including a pair of three-pointers that gave him 100 for his career here. He is just the fifth Piper to hit that mark. Victor Easter added 11 points and four assists.
The Cardinals (0-4, 0-1) had Saturday off. They lost, 80-62, to St. Olaf at home last Wednesday.
