Box Score It was tough sledding in the first half for the Hamline men's BB team Wednesday night. Augsburg came out of the gate firing at will and, before anybody knew what was happening, built a big lead.

Even though the Pipers pecked away at it in the second half, they couldn;t recover in time and took a 76-60 loss to the Auggies.

The visitors led at one point by 50-16 late in the first session when the Pipers found their touch. They scored the final seven points of the first half and the first five of the second. But the taller Auggies, who are 15-3 overall and in second place in the league, kept them at arm's length the rest of the night.

HU did get within 14 points at 72-58 with 2:13 left but that was close as it would get.

Noah Aguirre was the only HU player in double digits with 14. Austin Johnson (pictured) and Wesley Pinera had eight apiece.

Hamline is at St. Thomas Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. game
