Bad Bounce Does In Women's Soccer

10/2/2013 7:12:00 PM

Box Score Hamline's women's soccer had the better of the shots, 8-7. But St. Olaf got the better bounce and dealt the Pipers a 1-0 loss in Northfield Wednesday.

The only goal of the game came with the game less than three minutes old. A St. Olaf corner kick deflected off a player past HU goalie Erin Urbanowicz for what proved to be the lone tally of the day. Urbanowicz and her counterpart, Nora Forbes, were credited with three saves each.

Aileen Scheibner and Eden Behrens had two shots but Hamline could not convert and fell to 3-5-2 on the season, 1-3 in the MIAC.

The Pipers return home to Paterson Field Saturday to face St. Thomas. The Pipers are undefeated and have allowed just one goal in three games at Paterson this year. Game time has been changed to 11:00 a.m.
