10/5/2013 4:48:00 PM

Box Score Austin Duncan ran for 124 yards and a TD on a damp Saturday but Hamline couldn't stop Gustavus' Jeffrey Dubose, who scored five times en route to a 52-7 decision at Klas Field.

Duncan, a sophomore, maintained his conference rushing lead with 653 yards. He carried the ball 27 times and was stopped for a loss just once all day. His 163.2 yards per game average also ranks second among all Division III runners.

But Dubose was equally persistent as the Gusties scored four TDs in the second quarter to drop the Pipers to 1-3 overall, 0-3 in the MIAC.

Tim Bona went the distance at quarterback for Hamline, completing 12 of 27 passes for 109 yards. He also punted well, booming five kicks for a 38.2 average.

Anthony Hill and Matt Wildes led the Piper defense with 10 tackles each. Zach Schwalbach had six solo stops as well.

Hamline plays at St. Olaf next Saturday before returning home to host Concordia Oct. 19.
