Box Score Hamline's men's BB played a game that, on most nights, would have been enough to get a victory at St. Olaf Wednesday. They shot well (48.4 per cent). They were even in three pointers and close to even in turnovers and steals.

But the homestanding Oles shot just a little better in the second half and charged back from a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat the Pipers, 88-76, in Northfield.

Dior Ford rifled in 16 points. Noah Aguirre added 14 and Wes Pinera (pictured) had 10. Bennett Cooper was the game's top rebounder with seven.

However, St. Olaf had the touch late, shooting 58 per cent in the second half to keep their playoff hopes alive and drop the Pipers to 8-14 on the season, 5-12 in the MIAC.

For a while, it looked like Hamline's night. The visitors led most of the half and headed to the lockerroom with a 40-33 edge. The Oles came out smoking at the start of the second half, running off a 22-7 advantage in the first six minutes to grab an eight point lead.

Pinera hit a pair of jumpers and Ford added one as well as HU rallied back for a 62-61 lead with 8:12 left.  St. Olaf then went on a 13-2 tangent to take charge for good.

Hamline returns for its final regular season home game Saturday, February 9 against Concordia at 3:00 p.m. They finish away from Hutton nest week at Bethel and Carleton.
