Box Score Some day,
Noah Aguirre (pictured) will look on his final game at Hutton Arena with fondness. The senior went out with a bang, recording a double (19 points, 10 rebounds) in the HU men's BB team's 90-78 loss to Concordia.
It was just the second double-double recorded this season by a HU player. (
Dior Ford had the other.)
Sparked perhaps by the pre-game ceremonies in which Aguirre and fellow seniors
Francis Bungue, Charlie Choiniere and
Victor Easter were honored, Hamline came out sizzling from the field, shooting nearly 56 per cent en route to a 46-40 halftime lead.
The tables turned in the second half as the Cobbers clinched second place in the MIAC with a 62 per cent effort from the field. Aguirre kept firing, though and he got help from
Austin Johnson, who finished with a career best 15 points in just 21 minutes of action. Aguirre has scored 255 points, the best number of his four years here.
The Pipers (8-15 overall,5-13 MIAC) wrap up the season next week with road games at Bethel (Wednesday, February 13) and Carleton (Saturday, February 16).
