For four seniors ... and their teammates ... it's one last chance to exit Hutton Arena with a big smile. Hamline's men's basketball team plays its final home game of the season Saturday, Feb. 9 when Concordia visits for a 3:00 p.m. game.
It's the last trip around Hutton for senior
Nick Aguirre, Francis Bungue, Charlie Choiniere and
Victor Easter (pictured). The quartet, who saw the Pipers make the playoffs twice and were part of three consecutive winning seasons (the first time that has happened here in over 20 years) will be honored with their parents in a pre-game ceremony.
Then, it's on to the game. The last teams they faced each other,
Dior Ford poured in 21 but the Cobbers pulled away for a 78-67 win in Moorhead. Hamline takes a 5-12 MIAC mark and an 8-14 overall standard into the game. Concordia stands 13-5 in league play and needs one win to clinch second place and a first round bye in the playoffs.
