It didn't take Molly Jacobs long to add to her place in the Piper record book. The Portland, Oregon native recorded her ninth career shutout Saturday as the Pipers ended a two game western road trip with a double OT scorless tie at Pacific in Forest City. 

Jacobs, one of four Oregonians on the team, was credited with four saves (two in each half) as HU improved to 0-1-1 on the season. The Pipers, playing with out ailing Aileen Scheibner, triggered six shots on goal, including the only one recorded by either team in the extra sessions. 

Malya Hershowitz and Kaylie Sowler led the way with two shots apiece.

The Pipers, who lost a tough 2-1 decision Friday night at Lewis & Clark, play at UW-Eau Claire September 5. The home opener is September 8 against UM-Morris.
