Box Score Hamline's women's soccer team came out smoking but Macalester rallied for a 3-2 decision Saturday at Macalester Stadium.Â

Eden Behrens connected in the first 25 1/2 minutes of play. For a long time, it appeared that would be enough to give the Pipers their first victory ever over Macalester.
But the Scots scored two goals inside of two minutes and potted another one with 8:45 left.Â
Garside got things off to a good start when she tooka pass from Behrens and drilled her second goal of the season home at 11:29. 14 minutes later, it was Behrens' turn to get her second of the year when she snapped the rebound of aÂ
Mallory Wirth shot home at 25:31. The Pipers kept up the offense rest of the half, holding a 4-1 edge in shot on goal and a 6-4 overall edge.
In the second half, though, the Scots started fast, tying the game before 10 minutes were gone. HU stayed with the homne team stride for stride until Georgia Cleopfil scored her second of the game at 81:15.Â
Erin Urbanowicz had three saves in goal for Hamline, which fell to 2-4-1 overall and 0-2 in the MIAC.
Having played just one game at home all year, HU finally gets on Paterson Field for a pair of games next week. UW-Stout is here Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. The Pipers return to MIAC play next Saturday when they host St. Catherine.Â
