Box Score Hamloine ran into a not-so-friendly neighbor Monday night. St. Thomas raced to a 16-2 in the first six minutes of play and never looked back in posting a 89-53 decision at Hutton Arena Monday night.

Bennett Cooper and Marshall Jestings led the Pipers with nine points each and Dior Ford (pictured winning the opening tap) added eight.

Down 44-18 at halftime, the Pipers shot better in the second half (10-19, 53 percent). But the first place Tommies hit 10 three pointers to blunt any comeback hopes. (The Pipers hit five long shots. Reserve Austin Fuller continued his amazing accuracy by nailing one. He is 3-for-3 on the season from three-point range.) 

Hamline, now 8-12 overall (5-10 MIAC) is off until Saturday when they host Bethel at Hutton Arena. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
