Kristen Berry free kick home for a first half goal that gave Hamline's women's soccer teamm a 1-0 lead at St. Catherine Saturday. It was the second goal of the season for the senior, who had two of Hamline's three shots on goal for the game.
Unfortunately, the Wildcats clawed  back for a second half goal and added one in the final minute of OT to send the Pipers to a tough 2-1 loss.Â
Erin Urbanowicz stood tall in goal all day. She made a spectacular leaping save of a SCU shot early to keep the game scoreless. The Wildcats tied it on a looping shot through a screen early in the second half and then found an opening on the left side with time running out in the first OT to get the win. For the game, the seniopr had four saves, two in the OT prior to the goal.  Hamline is now 5-2-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the MIAC. They return to action Oct. 1 at Paterson Field against St. Olaf. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
